Nigel Farage demands Zack Polanski's arrest over incitement T‑shirt
Green Party leader Zack Polanski shared an Instagram post showing a man in a black T‑shirt with a guillotine graphic and the slogan “We’re only making plans for Nigel”. The image, removed shortly after, was interpreted as a reference to a 1979 XTC song and was posted weeks after the murder of Reform UK spokesperson Ann Widdecombe.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage called the post “incitement to murder” and publicly demanded Polanski’s arrest, posting a screenshot on X. Reform UK reported the matter to the Metropolitan Police, which confirmed it was conducting inquiries. Reform spokesperson Zia Yusuf described the post as “staggering” and called for police action. The Green Party said Polanski condemned the image, did not realise its content, and deleted the post. The T‑shirt was advertised online for £20, made in Manchester and marketed as sweatshop‑free.
The incident sparked outrage among Reform MPs and prompted a police investigation into possible hate‑speech or incitement offenses.
