Nigel Farage rejects Restore Britain deal over antisemitism concerns

Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, has rejected the possibility of a political deal with Restore Britain unless the latter expels a co-founder accused of antisemitism. The impasse follows controversial comments made by Restore Britain co-founder Charlie Downes, who suggested Farage had been ‘bought’ by Jewish supporters.

A Reform UK spokesperson stated that any potential talks are contingent on action being taken against individuals described as ‘antisemitic and extreme racists’ within Restore Britain. While Farage had previously expressed openness to setting aside past differences to achieve political unity, the recent allegations have stalled cooperation efforts.

Restore Britain leader Rupert Lowe has expressed support for his party's team following what he described as ‘attacks and smears,’ while Downes has also faced scrutiny for social media posts regarding religious identity in Britain.
