Nigel Farage Turns Down Rupert Lowe’s Conditional Alliance Proposal

Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage received a 12‑minute video message from Rupert Lowe, the MP who founded the right‑wing party Restore Britain after being expelled from Farage’s Reform UK. Lowe suggested the two parties set aside past disputes and form an alliance to avoid splitting the vote in future elections.

The proposal comes with five stringent conditions: mass deportations of both legal and illegal migrants, a ban on the burka and a reversal of what Lowe calls the “Islamification of Britain,” a referendum on reinstating the death penalty, large cuts to public spending, and a ban on former Conservative ministers who have joined Reform UK – such as Robert Jenrick, Suella Braverman, Nadhim Zahawi and Nadine Dorries – from serving in any future cabinet. Lowe argues that without such a pact, Reform could lose seats under the first‑past‑the‑post system, even though the party secured about 21 % of first‑preference votes in the recent Greater Manchester mayoral contest, while Restore took just under 10 %.

Farage is portrayed as wary of the offer, which critics describe as a political trap that could force Reform into adopting far‑right policies in exchange for electoral cooperation.
