Nigel Hayes-Davis discusses philanthropy and professional basketball

Panathinaikos forward Nigel Hayes-Davis has shared his perspective on his professional basketball career and his commitment to philanthropy in an interview with Gazetta. The former Wisconsin student, who has played for clubs including Zalgiris, Barcelona, and Fenerbahce, described his profession as a privilege rather than a source of stress.

Hayes-Davis noted that while Greek fans often remind him of his high earnings, he uses his financial position to support those in need. He characterized his job as playing a “children’s game” and remarked that his work consists of being coached by Željko Obradović for two hours before returning home to do as he pleases.

After missing the first two games of the season due to health issues, Hayes-Davis returned to the court in a 90-67 victory against Maccabi, recording 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists in 25 minutes of play.
