Nigella Lawson addresses rumors of feud with Paul Hollywood

Nigella Lawson has addressed rumors of a feud with fellow judge Paul Hollywood following her appointment to the judging panel of The Great British Bake Off. Lawson, who is replacing Prue Leith, described their relationship as complementary, noting that Hollywood often plays the ‘bad cop’ role while she provides more conversational commentary on food texture and taste.

Lawson revealed that she took steps to build rapport with the cast before filming began, including inviting Hollywood to her home. She described their initial interaction as positive, stating, “We chatted for 10 minutes and had a great time. I knew instantly it was going to work.”

Despite her experience, Lawson admitted to feeling apprehension about the new role and whether she was qualified to follow Leith. She clarified that while she does not consider herself a professional baker or technician, her focus will be on the sensory experience of food.
