Nigella Lawson faces viral memes after ‘Bake Off’ debut

Food writer Nigella Lawson has become the subject of viral social media memes following her debut as a judge on season 17 of ‘The Great British Bake Off’. The memes primarily focus on her mannerisms while eating baked goods, with some viewers on X poking fun at how she bites into cakes.

Lawson replaced Prue Leith, who stepped down from the series at age 86. Despite the online commentary regarding her eating style, Lawson’s debut has received professional praise for her culinary expertise. Former winner Giuseppe Dell’Anno and longtime judge Paul Hollywood have both expressed support for her joining the program. The new season has aired in the United Kingdom and is scheduled to premiere in the United States on Netflix.
