Niger customs officials seize record 154 balls of Indian hemp
The Niamey Customs Brigade in Niger has recorded a major seizure of 154 balls of Indian hemp. The interception occurred on September 9, approximately 22 kilometers south of the Kouré checkpoint.
Customs officials stated that the operation was made possible through decisive intelligence-gathering, which allowed agents to target the suspicious cargo before it could continue its journey. Aïcha Dioffo, the Regional Director of Customs for Niamey-Tillabéri, commended the agents for their professionalism and urged continued vigilance to combat illicit trafficking networks threatening national security.
