Niger State road crash kills seven people
Seven people died and seven others were injured in a fatal road collision on the Bida-Kutigi road in Niger State. The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon at Shebe village, located a few kilometers from Kutigi town.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reported that the crash involved a Mazda vehicle and a Siena bus. Out of the 18 people involved in the incident, seven fatalities were confirmed at the scene, seven sustained varying degrees of injury, and four were rescued without injury.
The injured victims were evacuated to Kutigi General Hospital for medical attention, while the remains of the deceased were taken to the hospital's mortuary. The FRSC has not yet disclosed the identities of the victims or the specific cause of the collision, though investigations are expected to follow.
