Niger State to finish permanent NYSC orientation camp in 12 months

Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State announced the groundbreaking of Phase One of a permanent National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Paiko. The project, slated for completion within the next 12 months, will replace one of the state's oldest facilities with an ultramodern complex.

The Paiko community donated eight hectares of land for the camp, and the state government has already appropriated the necessary funds, ensuring there are no financial delays. NYSC Director‑General Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu praised the initiative as a major milestone for youth development and national integration, noting that the new camp will provide secure, functional accommodation and training infrastructure for corps members nationwide.
