Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service Opens Nationwide Recruitment

The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), a federal agency under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, has launched a new recruitment drive for multiple cadres, including Chief Superintendent of Quarantine (veterinary doctors), Deputy Superintendent (law graduates), Assistant Superintendent, Inspector of Quarantine and Quarantine Assistant. Applicants must be Nigerian by birth, hold the required academic qualifications, possess a National Identity Number, be medically fit, pass a drug test and have no criminal record. Physical conditions such as severe impairments are disqualifying.

The online portal (recruitment.naqs.gov.ng) opened on 28 July 2026 and will close on 10 August 2026, with shortlisting expected on 13 August and computer‑based tests and interviews around 15 August. NAQS stresses that the process is free, warns against scams offering “fast‑track” services, and advises candidates to ensure accurate information to avoid disqualification.
