Nigeria and Cyprus aim to deepen diplomatic and economic ties

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Israel, Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, has formally commenced her diplomatic assignment in Cyprus following the presentation of her Letters of Credence to President Nikos Christodoulides in Nicosia.

During the ceremony, both nations expressed a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. President Christodoulides identified several priority areas for expanded cooperation, including trade, investment, education, and political dialogue. He also acknowledged Nigeria’s significant role in promoting regional stability and integration across the African continent.

The accreditation establishes an official channel of communication between Abuja and Nicosia, with the goal of translating diplomatic goodwill into tangible economic and educational partnerships.
