Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to Host Diaspora Investment and Tourism Summit in Abuja

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), together with Al Yaro International Limited, will hold the second Nigeria‑Saudi Diaspora Investment and Tourism Exhibition Summit on August 4‑5 2026 at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja. The two‑day event, themed “The Misconceptions, Challenges, and Opportunities in Investing in Saudi Arabia and Nigeria Today,” aims to deepen trade, investment and tourism ties between the two countries.

Organisers expect more than 100 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors, covering about 20 sectors such as energy, agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, ICT, healthcare, logistics, real estate and Hajj/Umrah services. The summit will feature business‑to‑business matchmaking sessions and is planned to become a biennial event alternating between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Hon. Abike Dabiri‑Erewa, Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM, said the summit will help “address investment misconceptions, examine challenges and open up opportunities” for both markets. The first edition in 2019 attracted over 30 Saudi companies, and officials hope the 2026 edition will further institutionalise economic collaboration.
