Nigeria announces recruitment for Northern Nigeria Value Chain Programme

The Nigerian Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, has announced recruitment for 18 professional positions within the National Programme Coordination Office of the Value Chain Programme in Northern Nigeria (VCN).

Supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the French Development Agency (AFD), the initiative aims to enhance food security, income levels, and climate resilience for smallholder farmers across nine northern states: Sokoto, Kebbi, Jigawa, Zamfara, Borno, Katsina, Yobe, Bauchi, and Kano.

Available roles include National Programme Coordinator, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, Agricultural Production Specialist, Rural Infrastructure Engineer, Food and Nutrition Specialist, ICT4D Support Specialist, and various finance, procurement, and administrative officers. Most positions require a master’s degree and seven to ten years of professional experience in internationally funded agricultural projects. Successful candidates will receive two-year renewable contracts and will be based in Abuja, with regular travel to the participating states.
