Nigeria APC backs 2027 governorship candidates in Kwara and Adamawa

Members of the Kwara State House of Assembly publicly endorsed Speaker Yakubu Danladi‑Salihu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 governorship election, rejecting rumors that a primary had not been held. Majority Leader Abdulkadri Magaji affirmed that the party followed due process and urged supporters to focus on unity and the party’s agenda.

In Adamawa State, APC Publicity Secretary Dogo Victor denied reports that the party was planning to replace its declared 2027 governorship candidate, Alhaji Tijani Galadima. Victor said the claims were false, emphasized Galadima’s status as the party’s chosen candidate, and noted efforts to increase his grassroots exposure.

Both statements reflect the APC’s attempt to manage internal speculation ahead of the 2027 elections and demonstrate the party’s commitment to presenting unified tickets in key northern and western states.
