Nigeria athletics coach Aliyu says Glasgow Games will see stronger performances
Solomon Aliyu, head coach of Team Nigeria athletics and a former police officer, said the recent Athletics Federation of Nigeria Commonwealth Games trials were only the first phase of preparation. He expressed confidence that Nigerian athletes will deliver even better performances at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Aliyu highlighted emerging talents such as Miracle Ezechukwu, Chidera Ezeakor and Chigozie Rosemary as the future of Nigerian athletics, praised the work of personal coaches, and credited the support of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria and the National Sports Commission for creating a conducive environment for the athletes to thrive.
