Nigeria aviation sector marks milestones with Hall of Fame unveiling and upcoming industry conference
The Nigeria Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHOF) has officially unveiled its montage and Achievers’ compendium at Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 in Lagos. The institution serves as a permanent repository to honor the pioneers, visionaries, and aviators who contributed to the development of Nigeria’s aerospace sector. The unveiling featured physical and virtual galleries containing rare photographs and interactive displays documenting key milestones of various aviation legends.
In a separate development, the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) is set to hold its 30th Annual Conference in Lagos. The conference, themed ‘Towards a Sustainable Aviation Industry: Balancing Government Revenue Demands with Sector Growth,’ aims to address critical challenges facing the industry. Key topics include the financial pressures on airlines caused by high fuel costs, multiple charges, and foreign exchange access, as well as the need to balance government revenue collection with the necessity of maintaining a competitive and investable aviation environment.
