Nigeria Completes Recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables

The Police Service Commission (PSC) announced that the recruitment drive for 50,000 police constables in the Nigeria Police Force has concluded. The PSC said the exercise was carried out through a comprehensive, inclusive, equitable and transparent process in partnership with the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, state career and counselling departments and the Police Community Relations Committee.

Applicants are instructed to log on to the official recruitment portal to verify their status and will also receive notifications by email or phone. Successful candidates must report to designated Police Training Institutions on dates to be communicated for documentation and a mandatory medical examination. Those who fail to report or do not pass the medical exam will be considered to have declined the offer or be declared medically unfit and withdrawn.

PSC Chairman, retired Deputy Inspector‑General of Police Hashimu Salihu Argungu thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment and urged the new constables to serve the nation with dignity, integrity and commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Nigeria.
