Nigeria Customs Service begins final recruitment screening
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has entered the final phase of its 2025 recruitment exercise. Shortlisted candidates are currently undergoing documentation, medical screenings, and physical fitness assessments at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The two-week process, which began on September 7, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude on September 19, targets applicants for the Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCII), Inspectorate, and Customs Assistant cadres. To manage the volume of applicants and maintain order, candidates are being screened in batches organized alphabetically by their states of origin.
Frank Onyeka, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs for Human Resource Development, stated that the evaluation extends beyond physical capabilities to include attitude, discipline, and conduct. The NCS is collaborating with Customs Police and other internal units to ensure the integrity of the recruitment process.
