Nigeria Democratic Congress names campaign director for Obi-Kwankwaso ticket

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed Alhaji Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim as the Director-General for the Obi-Kwankwaso presidential campaign. Abdulkarim, an ICT strategist and CEO of EasyGIS Nigeria Limited, will lead the campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The presidential ticket features NDC candidate Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso. Abdulkarim brings experience in spatial data management and political strategy to the role, having previously chaired a Nasarawa State advisory committee on land administration.

In a separate development, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu issued a tribute to Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso on his 70th birthday. Tinubu acknowledged Kwankwaso’s political career, which includes serving as a two-term governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence, and Senator, noting their long-standing association dating back to the National Assembly in 1992.
