Nigeria Democratic Congress reports N6.1bn profit in seven months
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a surplus of N6.127 billion following its first seven months of operation. According to financial disclosures presented at the party’s National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, the party generated N8.529 billion in revenue.
Sources of income included the sale of nomination forms, membership dues, levies, and contributions from supporters. Total expenditures amounted to N2.402 billion, covering party activities such as primaries, publicity, staff salaries, and other operational costs.
National Chairman Senator Moses Cleopas and National Treasurer Dr. Peter Onigah stated that the early disclosure was intended to promote transparency and accountability to party members. The leadership emphasized that while audited accounts will be submitted to authorized institutions at the end of the financial year, members have a right to know how collective resources are being managed.
