Nigeria faces rising fuel costs as Delhi conducts safety demolitions

In Nigeria, petrol prices have continued to rise, reaching as high as N1,500 per litre in states including Kano, Yobe, Sokoto, Borno, Taraba, and Zamfara. In response, the Nigeria Labour Congress has urged the Federal Government to implement measures to mitigate the impact on citizens, such as providing wage awards and selling crude oil to local refineries in naira.

In India, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has sealed 11 properties and demolished 46 structures following a deadly building collapse in Satya Niketan. The crackdown aims to address unauthorized constructions, building code violations, and hazardous accommodations to ensure public safety.
