Nigeria Football Federation faces overhaul calls after World Cup miss

He described the match between El‑Kanemi Warriors and Ikorodu City as lacking consistency and depth, urging better grassroots development and coaching.

Following Nigeria's failure to qualify for a second consecutive FIFA World Cup, former internationals Abiodun Obafemi and Segun Odegbami called for a comprehensive overhaul of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). They argued the repeated miss reflects deep administrative problems rather than a lack of talent and urged the current board to step aside ahead of upcoming NFF elections.
