Nigeria Football Federation moves 2026 elective congress to Sept 27
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) elective congress, originally set for Saturday 26 September 2026 in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has been shifted by one day to Sunday 27 September 2026. The change was approved at an extraordinary general assembly of the NFF held virtually on Wednesday, where President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau explained the need to avoid a clash with the Super Eagles' opening qualifier for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations against Madagascar, scheduled for Friday 25 September 2026. A motion to amend the date was moved and immediately seconded, finalising the new schedule. The congress will elect members to the NFF Executive Committee for the next four years.
