Nigeria Football Federation President Gusau Endorsed for Re‑election and Honored at Benue AGM

Chairmen of the Football Associations in Nigeria's North Central zone met at the Benue State Football Association's Annual General Meeting in Makurdi and unanimously endorsed NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau for a second term, pledging to jointly purchase his nomination form for the upcoming NFF presidential election. The endorsement highlighted Gusau's inclusive leadership, grassroots development initiatives, and the ongoing FIFA Forward infrastructure project at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

During the same AGM, the Benue State Football Association presented its Chairman’s Honours Award to Governor Hyacinth Alia, NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, and National Institute for Sports Director‑General Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu. The award recognised Alia’s youth‑focused policies, Gusau’s reforms and contributions to Nigerian football, and Shaibu’s role in sports development, underscoring the close partnership between state officials and the national football federation.
