Nigeria government backs creative industries and tourism for growth
The Federal Government of Nigeria, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reaffirmed its support for the advertising and creative sectors as key drivers of economic growth, job creation and innovation. Information Minister Mohammed Idris highlighted reforms aimed at building a competitive digital economy, attracting investment and regulating emerging technologies such as AI.
Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa met with Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III to discuss leveraging the kingdom’s heritage for cultural tourism. The partnership will focus on preserving historic assets, youth empowerment, investment and positioning the Warri Kingdom as a major tourism destination, aligning with the government’s broader agenda to use culture and tourism as catalysts for development.
