Nigeria lowers Abuja petrol price to N1,210 per litre

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) reduced the pump price of petrol in Abuja to N1,210 per litre, marking its second price cut within four days. The adjustment follows a recent reduction by the Dangote Refinery, which lowered its gantry price to N1,075 per litre, prompting filling stations across the capital to price petrol between N1,205 and N1,240 per litre.

Analysts attribute the continued price declines to a sustained fall in global crude oil prices, with West Texas Intermediate trading around $69 a barrel and Brent near $71. The price cuts are intended to provide further relief to motorists after earlier reductions that brought prices down from higher levels caused by Middle‑East tensions.
