Nigeria Ministry of Interior debunks fake CDCFIB recruitment postponement

The Nigerian Federal Ministry of Interior has dismissed a fraudulent press release claiming that the ongoing recruitment exercise by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has been postponed until after the 2027 general elections.

The Ministry stated that the document, which falsely attributed claims of funding constraints to Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is unauthorized and fake. Permanent Secretary Dr. Magdalene Ajani clarified that no decision has been made to defer the recruitment and emphasized that the exercise remains ongoing.

Authorities have urged applicants and the public to disregard any information not released through the official communication channels of the Ministry or the CDCFIB, directing them to use the official recruitment portal for authentic updates.
