Nigeria Padel Federation board inaugurated in Abuja

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has inaugurated the board of the Nigeria Padel Federation at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. The new board is led by President Rt. Hon. Jimi Benson, who aims to establish a sustainable nationwide movement for the sport.

Benson outlined plans to attract investment, launch development academies, and improve sporting facilities. The federation intends to focus on youth empowerment, creating career pathways in coaching, club administration, and professional play to ensure Nigerians can compete in international championships.

Among the newly appointed members is Comrade George Obioma, the Abia State Director of Sports. The inauguration is part of a broader NSC initiative to strengthen the administration of emerging sporting disciplines, which also included the inauguration of boards for the Nigeria Basketball, Arm Wrestling, and Fencing federations.
