Nigeria Police debunk viral video of officers fleeing drone

The Osun State Police Command has dismissed viral footage claiming that officers fled from a drone while allegedly attempting to extort a motorist in Osogbo. The command clarified that the video is actually a scene from a Yoruba film production titled ‘Omine fun Omine Part 2’, which was filmed in May.

Police Public Relations Officer Abiodun Ojelabi stated that a bystander recorded the production scene and misidentified it as real police misconduct. He described the circulating claims as misleading and damaging to the reputation of the Nigeria Police Force, urging media outlets to retract false captions and verify footage before publication.
