Nigeria Police deploy personnel for Easter security

The Nigeria Police Force is deploying personnel and operational assets to ensure security during the Easter festivities. Working alongside the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the police aim to protect lives and property across critical locations.

Police leadership has directed high-visibility patrols at highways, motor parks, train stations, airports, worship centers, and financial institutions. Officers have been instructed to maintain a presence in public spaces and critical national assets to provide a peaceful environment for religious and socio-economic activities.

To ensure professional conduct, the IGP Monitoring Unit and X-Squad will oversee highway policing activities. This is intended to ensure that officers adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Rules of Engagement while remaining firm against criminal activity.
