Nigeria Police Force enhances professionalism and security partnerships

Senior police officials in Nigeria are conducting strategic meetings to enhance professionalism and strengthen security partnerships.

In Yola, Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Osagie John Agans-Irabor met with tactical commanders from Adamawa and Taraba States. The meeting focused on promoting discipline, community-oriented policing, and implementing standard operating procedures for joint task force operations. Agans-Irabor emphasized the importance of civil interactions with the public to build trust and improve information sharing at the grassroots level.

In Lagos, AIG Olohundare Jimoh of Zone 2 hosted a delegation from IHS Nigeria to discuss security collaboration. The discussions centered on protecting telecommunications infrastructure, which includes over 16,000 towers across the country. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to information sharing and timely reporting of suspicious activities to ensure a secure environment for business investments.
