Nigeria Police Force launches digital tools to fight crime

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu has launched two new digital platforms to modernize the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and improve crime response. The initiatives, unveiled in Abuja, include the NPF Vigilant App and the NPF–MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network.

The NPF Vigilant App is a citizen-facing tool designed to facilitate the reporting of suspected financial fraud. Through the application, members of the public can submit reports, upload supporting evidence, track case progress, and receive feedback from authorities.

The NPF–MTN CUG Network is a dedicated communication platform for police personnel. It aims to provide secure and affordable on-network communication to enhance emergency coordination and operational response across various police commands and specialized units nationwide.
