Nigeria Police Force Promotes Nearly 18,000 Junior Officers Nationwide

Inspector‑General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu approved the promotion of 17,952 junior officers across the Nigeria Police Force. The promotion includes 165 Sergeants elevated to Inspectors, 73 Corporals promoted to Sergeants and 17,714 Constables advanced to Corporals.

The move is presented as part of a strategy to improve personnel welfare, boost morale and reward professionalism, discipline and dedication to duty. Disu urged the newly promoted officers to uphold integrity, respect for human rights and the rule of law while carrying out their responsibilities.
