Nigeria Police Force to launch Vigilant App and MTN network

Nigeria Police Force Vigilant App MTN CUG Network technology-driven policing Abuja

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Dis is scheduled to launch the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Vigilant App and an MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network on September 1, 2026, in Abuja.

The NPF Vigilant App is intended to facilitate better engagement, information sharing, and communication between the police and the public. Complementing this, the MTN CUG Network will serve as a dedicated communication platform to improve seamless coordination among police personnel.

According to Force Spokesperson CSP Ani Iniedu, these initiatives are part of a broader effort to implement technology-driven policing and enhance operational efficiency and service delivery across Nigeria.
