Nigeria police intensify anti‑crime operations in Ogun‑Lagos border and Delta state

Ogun State Commissioner of Police Olubode Ojajuni praised the ongoing Operation KOS’AYE, a joint police effort with Lagos authorities that has “flushed out” criminals along the Ogun‑Lagos border. The operation, launched by the Inspector‑General of Police, has led to numerous arrests and neutralisations, and officials urged continued community intelligence sharing to sustain security.

Delta State Commissioner of Police Yemi Oyeniyi ordered a crackdown on forest bandits, directing police, vigilante groups and civil security outfits to intensify patrols of forests, rural communities and critical routes. He emphasized disciplined collaboration, prompt hand‑over of arrested persons to police stations, and the removal of any unlawful elements within security partners.
