Nigeria police recover stolen car belonging to Indian national

Police in Ogun State, Nigeria, recovered a stolen 2016 Toyota Camry belonging to an Indian national after a driver absconded with the vehicle. The suspect, Waidi Olaide Kolawale, had been employed by the owner for only two days before allegedly claiming he needed to visit a mechanic for tyre repairs.

Following an electronic tracking report, operatives from the Ifo Division located the vehicle at a hotel in Ifo. During the operation, one suspect, Monday Adetunji, was arrested at the scene, while Kolawale fled the location with the ignition key. Preliminary investigations suggest the suspects intended to remove the vehicle’s catalyst.

The vehicle has been returned to the owner, and authorities are continuing efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
