Abdullahi Ganduje says Obi‑Kwankwaso ticket dead on arrival as Obi’s camp refutes visit claims

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman and ex‑Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje warned that the Peter Obi‑Rabiu Kwankwaso presidential ticket on the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) platform is “dead on arrival” in Kano for the 2027 election. Ganduje questioned Obi’s record as Anambra governor and argued that Kwankwaso has never secured back‑to‑back terms in Kano, suggesting the duo lacks the political strength and governance legacy to win the state’s voters.

Separately, the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) office dismissed former minister Solomon Dalung’s claim that Obi had not visited Plateau State since the 2023 elections. The spokesperson said Obi had made several trips, spent nights in the state, visited IDP camps in Mangu and Bokkos, provided relief aid, and engaged traditional rulers and officials, underscoring his continued humanitarian and security‑focused involvement in the region.
