Nigeria Premier Football League postpones Matchday 2 fixtures

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 2 fixtures face several disruptions due to continental commitments and venue scheduling conflicts. Four matches have been postponed, including Sporting Lagos vs Ikorodu City, Katsina United vs Rivers United, Enyimba vs Shooting Stars, and Warri Wolves vs Enugu Rangers.

The Sporting Lagos vs Ikorodu City derby has been rescheduled from September 6 to September 30 because of planned political events at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan. Other postponements stem from clubs participating in CAF competitions. Rivers United is preparing for a CAF Champions League tie against FC San-Pédro, while Shooting Stars Sports Club is scheduled to host Tunisian side CS Sfaxien in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Despite these changes, several matches will proceed as scheduled, including a meeting between promoted sides Inter Lagos and Doma United at the Onikan Waterfront.
