Tunji Bello Celebrated on 65th Birthday by President Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu issued a personal tribute on 1 July praising Tunji Bello, the executive vice‑chairman and chief executive officer of Nigeria’s Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), on his 65th birthday. Tinubu highlighted more than three decades of collaboration, noting Bello’s past as a fearless journalist who opposed military dictatorship, his appointment to the Lagos State Executive Council in 2003 to address waste‑management challenges, and his subsequent roles as Environment Commissioner and Secretary to the State Government. Since becoming FCCPC chief in 2023, Bello has, according to Tinubu, strengthened consumer protection, promoted fair competition and advanced the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The President described Bello as a dependable ally, an accomplished public servant and a champion of progressive ideals, and prayed for his continued health and service to Nigeria.
