Nigeria presidential hopefuls propose tech‑driven energy and education reforms

Young Progressives Party presidential candidate Arc. Peter Agada said his 2027 platform will "knock down the fence" keeping Nigeria from global progress. He pledged to decentralise electricity generation, expand clean‑energy solutions, and transform agriculture into a year‑round, technology‑based food‑production industry, while mobilising youths as the engine of development.

Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate Peter Obi outlined a second pillar of his roadmap, urging alignment of the education system and healthcare with national priorities. Citing China and Singapore, he called for investments in technical and vocational training, character development and civic education, arguing that quality education and health are essential for economic transformation and reducing insecurity.
