Nigeria sees rise of women in key legal leadership roles

Nigeria is experiencing a significant shift in its legal landscape, with women currently holding five of the nation's most critical positions in law and justice. These roles include the Chief Justice of Nigeria, the President of the Court of Appeal, the leader of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, the Director-General of the Law School, and the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

These achievements are attributed to a succession of female pioneers who have worked across generations to break into vocations traditionally dominated by men.
