Nigeria social media users share personal marriage and pregnancy confessions

Several personal accounts from Nigerian social media users have gained attention regarding long-term relationship and family struggles.

A woman identified as @superbosschic on X shared a confession regarding a pregnancy she had during her third year of university. She stated that after an unsuccessful abortion attempt and fear of her strict parents, she delivered a baby girl in Osogbo with the help of a nurse. Due to academic pressures, she allegedly left the infant in a discoverable location and told her boyfriend the child was stillborn. Now married for seven years and unable to conceive, she expressed deep guilt and a desire to reconnect with her daughter.

Separately, Onovo Chika Sandra shared on Facebook the reasons behind the end of her seven-year marriage to a man from Enugu. Sandra claimed she left the relationship because her former husband was overly influenced by his mother, describing him as a “mummy’s boy” whose compliance with his mother’s instructions made the marriage unbearable. She advised others to seek emotional and mental maturity before entering marriage.
