Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce promotes local content growth
The Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce (NSACC) hosted its August 2026 Breakfast Forum in Lagos, themed ‘Building Local Content Together: 25 Years of Shared Growth.’ The event focused on strengthening economic ties between the two nations through increased local content, skills development, technology transfer, and sustainable supply chains.
MTN Nigeria served as the headline sponsor for the forum, marking its 25th anniversary of operations in the country. NSACC Chairman Dr. Ije Jidenma highlighted MTN Nigeria’s role in the digital economy, noting that 99.85 percent of its workforce is Nigerian and its activities have contributed to over two million direct and indirect jobs.
Industry leaders, including MTN Nigeria CFO Modupe Kadri, participated in discussions regarding commercial synergy and intra-African trade. The forum emphasized the importance of combining global capital with domestic talent to foster sustainable enterprise and economic sovereignty across borders.
