Nigeria to face El Salvador in 2027 Davis Cup play-offs

Nigeria will face El Salvador in the 2027 Davis Cup World Group II play-offs. The draw, conducted at the World Tennis offices in London, scheduled the tie for February 5–7, 2027.

Nigeria enters the play-offs as an unseeded team following a 4-0 defeat to Morocco in September. The upcoming tie is critical for the Nigerian side; winners will advance to compete in World Group II in September 2027, while losers will be relegated to regional Group III events.

As the home nation, El Salvador holds the right to choose the exact dates within the February window and will host the match. The Nigerian team, led by Captain Benson Ishicheli, faces the challenge of an away fixture against a seeded opponent.
