Nigeria to host 2026 World Public Relations Forum in Abuja

Nigeria will host the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) in Abuja from November 15 to 21. The event is expected to draw approximately 3,000 delegates from 126 countries, bringing together communication professionals, policymakers, diplomats, and academics.

Jointly organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, and the African Public Relations Association (APRA), the forum aims to establish the ‘Abuja Declaration on Responsible Communication’. This document is intended to provide a framework for the global communication profession over the next decade.

Dr. Ike Neliaku, President of the NIPR, described the forum as a ‘national project’ designed to showcase Nigerian culture and position Abuja as a hub for global dialogue. The event will feature a solution-policy interface to connect practitioners with the institutions they advise. Additionally, the forum will include the inaugural Nigeria Jollof Rice Festival, which plans to serve 10,000 plates of food as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative.
