Nigeria to Launch Capital Grants for Innovative Students

The Federal Government of Nigeria announced a new capital grant programme aimed at students with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills. The initiative, unveiled by Education Minister Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad at Kaduna Polytechnic’s 70th anniversary, will complement the existing student loan scheme introduced under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. The grants are intended to provide financial support for viable business concepts, helping students develop sustainable ventures that contribute to national development. Dr. Suwaiba highlighted the programme’s alignment with the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, and self‑reliance, and urged students nationwide to take advantage of the opportunities.
