Nigerian Air Force upgrades infrastructure and personnel welfare

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is expanding its operational capabilities through infrastructure upgrades and enhanced personnel welfare initiatives. In Rivers State, the NAF has commissioned a reconstructed runway and military apron to improve aircraft deployment, maintenance, and turnaround times. This project, supported by the Rivers State Government, is intended to bolster surveillance, reconnaissance, and rapid response capabilities in the South-South region.

Simultaneously, the NAF is deepening its strategic partnership with Zenith Bank to address the financial wellbeing of its personnel. Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, met with Zenith Bank CEO Adaora Umeoji to discuss expanded financial services, including customized salary management, personal loans, and mortgage schemes. These efforts aim to maintain high morale and combat readiness by providing robust financial support systems for service members.
