Nigerian Army 3 Division pledges stronger partnership with EFCC

Major General Maxwell Dangana, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, has pledged stronger cooperation with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to combat financial crimes, cybercrime, and security threats in Plateau State.

During a meeting with an EFCC delegation led by Acting Zonal Director Michael Wetkas, Dangana emphasized the necessity of inter-agency coordination for successful joint operations, including raids and searches. He assured the Commission that the Division would provide necessary security cover and institutional support to address multifaceted security challenges.

Additionally, the GOC raised concerns regarding illegal mining activities and their link to security issues in certain communities. He called for better coordination among government agencies to ensure proper documentation and monitoring of mining operators to enforce regulatory compliance.
