Nigerian banks win multiple Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026
Stanbic IBTC, a member of Standard Bank Group, was named winner in four categories at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026: Best Bank for Sustainable Finance, Best Bank for Consumer Lending, Best Bank for Mortgages/Home Loans and Best Bank for Securities Services. Chief Executive Chuma Nwokocha said the awards recognise the bank’s focus on reliable, responsible financial solutions for individuals, businesses and institutions across Nigeria. The bank reported total assets of ₦8.62 trillion and sustainable loans of ₦277.3 billion for 2025.
Iron Capital, an African investment‑banking and asset‑management firm, was named Nigeria’s Best Investment Bank for Financing Solutions at the same awards. CEO Jubril Enakele highlighted the firm’s role in structuring over N3.11 trillion of capital for infrastructure and other projects across the continent. The Euromoney Awards are viewed as a benchmark for leadership and innovation in the global banking sector.
