Nigerian clubs Doma United and Ibom Angels prioritize stability and new coaching staff ahead of new seasons

Deji Ayeni, head coach of newly promoted Doma United, said the club is not under pressure to win the NPFL title in the 2026/27 season. His focus is on building a competitive, commercially attractive team and retaining top‑flight status as the side returns to its home ground, Pantami Stadium in Gombe, and participates in pre‑season tournaments to assess new players.

Ibom Angels, a Nigeria Women Football League Premiership side, have appointed Emmanuel Ntuk as chief coach. Ntuk will work alongside head coach Edwin Okon and brings experience from roles at Akwa Starlets, Dakkada FC, Police Machine FC and as CEO of Greater Tomorrow Academy, aiming to advance the club’s development for the upcoming campaign.
